Josh Graduation -- Washington Here we Come

Cam, Grandpa, Jana, Terri and I kicked off the summer with a trip to Washington to see Josh graduate. Cam was so excited because he didn't join us last fall for Lobster Fest and he loves Scott's family and his boy cousins. Jana and Terri had never been to Scott's so I knew they would love it.

I asked Cam when we got back what was his favorite -- the big motorcycle, the little motorcycle, the tractor, the 4-wheelers, bow and arrow shooting, shooting guns, the party, the graduation, playing pool over and over and over, going to the river, playing with Jake, fire and foil dinners, Mt. St. Helens, reading 2 Harry Potter books, the airplane ride, the kids night bowling and Taco Bell night that ended at midnight (I think they forgot Cam is only 9), the tree swing, wandering through the mountains, seeing Josh's practical joke on Jordan, watching Josh pull Grandpa up the hill, sleeping upside down on the chair, having our own "apartment" ... did I miss anything. (Yes, visiting the Walls is pretty cool!)

He had a hard time deciding but I think both motorcyles (riding his own one for an hour maybe a little more than the big one with Jordan), Mt. St. Helens, bowling and the Taco Bell run were the ones he talked about the most.

Jana would have stayed if we had let her -- she was in heaven. Terri and I are missing our morning walks. Cam begged to leave him there for a few weeks (if he were a little older I would have). I love the Walls and their home and community is just so beautiful! Thanks for the great trip Grandpa!

Schools out 2013

Can't believe another year has come and gone. The end of school seemed like one long, long, long party!

Hard when they are done with testing, but the all hung in there.

Lolo skipped Lagoon Day and spent the day at the Maxwells (love great moms), had the last morning of school, went to Park City for a soccer game, enjoyed a party, went to another soccer game Saturday morning, went to another party and crashed... just in time to head off to BYU soccer camp.

Kenzi had 4 parties on Friday and Saturday -- made it to 3 of the 4. Then crashed for Sunday and started 8 hours a day of summer PE and Basketball camp.

Cam enjoyed field day bowling and then sadly said goodbye to Mr. Cassler and then headed off to a Lacrosse tournament for 5 games of lacrosse that weekend. Crashed on Sunday and then started swimming and he and I took off for Washington. We did a carpool GET AIR day as well.

And Rachie graduated and is off to play volleyball in Wyoming. Jenn made this darling cake for her and we had a fun Sunday dinner party for her.. She is quite the decorator.

Whew... just tired thinking about all of this. Lazy summer won't really start for us until July.

9th Grade is history

A few pictures from 9th Grade Advancement night. Holy smokes Lolo, you've really grown up these past 4 years. She ended up with a 4.0 for the entire year -- started Varsity for High School soccer, ran track, got her learner's permit (and is a great driver by the way) and considering all of the ups and downs we had very few big issues with "Jr. High". Lolo you are an amazing girl and we are so proud of you!

What a great 9th grade year for Lolo. (Hoping their will be more but she says she might not run track in High school -- which will be sad because she did really well this year and conditioned through soccer but never trained specifically with track).

She made it to District in the 200m, 400m and her 4x400 team. She didn't do great on the 200 m, she placed 5th in the 400m and her 4x400 team took 1st! It was fun because Ferguson's cute daughter ran the last leg of the 400 for Kaysville and she and Lauren will both in the lead. Lolo had a comfortable lead so it wasn't us vs. Fergusons cheering against each other at the end -- but they both were fabulous.
