I think I write this post every month... I'm grateful for chemo pre meds... I'd be a barfing mess without them. I just wish they weren't so darn sleep disruptive. Anyone have a wide awake baby they want me to tend?
And yes.. I needed the steroids today. Got sick when they started the xyotax.... A quick run by Sue for the nurse and a quick slowing of the drip saved the day. Haven't felt that instant awful nausea for months. Had a slight reminder of how terribly awful the round of ip chemo was.

Romp to Stomp
Did the Romp-to-Stomp with Kenzi, Cam, Lorie, Kelli and Lauren Spencer today up in Park City. It was a bit snowy and cold when we started and ended... and pretty perfect in between.
We did the 3k and the Russells did the 5k. Was a lot of fun -- pretty exciting that a year ago I was lucky if I could walk up and down the hall a few times and I had to shower sitting on a chair!!!

Because I Can... Happy Valentine's Day
Dave asked me what I wanted to do for Valentine's Day... stay at home and cook Steak and Crab for the family -- with a chocolate fountain for dessert.
Just so very grateful that I am not where I was last year at this time -- hooked up to tubes, trying to get off pain medication, hallucinating, praying to get home and more.
I don't remember much Valentine"y" from last year. I know sweet Nina helped Cam make a box and Misty picked up my balloons for Kenzi's dance... and Bethany came home from her mission and came to see me in the hospital.
It was a beautiful day this year! I realize that next year at this time I could be running around and cooking dinner or I could be back in a situation like before. But for now I am just grateful for today!
